Turning 50: Michelle Yu
In honour of Capilano’s 50th Anniversary, we are celebrating CapU faculty and staff members who are also turning 50 this year. In this series, they share their inspirations, hopes and stories about what it means to reach this significant milestone with their birthday buddy, Capilano University.
“Fifty is the middle way for most people’s lives. I have been living in Canada since I was 30. It has been quite a long time and my life has changed very much.”
When I came to this country, I didn’t have a job, didn’t have family and didn’t speak much English. Now, I work at Cap, I have a stable relationship and am fluent in English.
I am a Canadian citizen and I treat Canada as my homeland now. I love Canada, I love Vancouver and I love CapU!
